Where else can I find the VIN# location other than the obvious dash and door?
reason I ask is that I'm considering purchase of a 93 nsx w/ about 60K. upon inspection, the VIN on the dash and the usual door were missing. seller claims that the car was originally leased, however the leasee didn't make payments and took off the VIN's to avoid repo. it was still repo'd in 96 and here we are. the VIN's are still missing, however there is a DMV assigned VIN, same as original VIN i'm told.
Legally, do the VIN's have to be there?
Should I call DMV, Acura, State Police?
