VIDEO - LoveFab NSX vs. C6Z06, GTR, GT500, Camaro SS, BMW 135i

This past weekend I went to Carrabelle Florida for the first annual Carrabelle Speed Festival.

Tons of strong vehicles came out including 2 Ford GT (both 800+hp) 900hp TT Mustang, 800hp hybrid Corvette CR1 and a few Titan Supras.

Overall it was a great event but it was HOT!!!

Anyway there were a few cars I wanted to run against including:

2010 Corvette C6 Z06 (lightly modded)
2011 Camaro SS (473whp with 3.90 gearing)
2012 Ford GT500 (slightly modded)
and
2012 Nissan GTR (stock) (I have beenn chasing these cars for years)

I knew I shoulda bought that Lovefab car that was for sale on Prime.....LOL!

Awesome. I have a CTSC and can't hold off a Z06. I tried this weekend. :wink:

As you can see, the Z06 was the closest race of the day. That car is very strong.

I drove down there with my buddy who had a base C6 with head/cam work and he is faster than me. He has a very strong 4th gear and even if I jump on him, he reels me in.
 
did the gt-500 break? I know they are kinda heavy but they can produce some big hp.It looked like he just gave up.
 
Beating the Z06 is most impressive to me. They dyno 440rwhp all day long. Very impressive.

Yeah, I think a CTSC NSX is a good match for a normal C6. They should be very close in the 1/4 in both time and MPH. I wish I had raced charles when I had mine.

No, I wonder if he was heat soaked. I was running Alcohol Methanol so I was not as affect as he might have been but I was also running back to back runs all day long.

His father was there with his 800+ hp Ford GT but his clutch broke after his first pass.

No internals. I only run Methanol to cool my intake temps down which also make it safer to run higher boost but that is it.

I have a good amount of miles on Lovefabs kit and it hasnt failed me yet. I am very happy with it. Have the power of a turbo with the reliability of a supercharger.

Base 6 psi kit, a whipple. 3.2L car.

Z06 was a C6 model.

My car feels like a rocket when ambient temps are low. On hot days, it loses a lot. I am contemplating that Driving Ambition IC kit to keep it more consistent. I am more than happy with the power when temps are cool.

No shame here... the C6 Z06 is a monster and a half. Guys are running 11's pretty easily bone stock (when they can hook up)

I think NetViper is about right... A base C6 is a good match power:weight wise. The 08 could be trouble though... It has about 100 lbs more weight, but for 08 they pushed the base model up to 430HP.

Run high boost kit with supporting mods and a IC and u will be neck to neck with c6z

To be honest when I ran the Camaro I was on low boost but when I raced the GTR and Z06, I switch to hi boost which is about 466whp 350tq
