My brother got me one of these as a gift. I cant wait to try it out. The videos it takes (around the house) are great. Simple on/off. SD card and not the crappy DVD recording that my palmcorder makes of me blowing the doors off of Stu's (Red) gay pink german car. Unsure if I will mount this to my helmet or car, but I cant wait to give it a go! I may stick it to my 4yo son and record hours of terrorizing the cat while I wait for springtime!

Thanks for posting this Dave.

I used to have a helmet camera but got rid of it since I had to carry my camcorder too a couple of years ago while snowboarding. This eliminates the need for the extra "baggage".

How easy/difficult is it to access the on/off/record switch (location of the switches?)? Can you show actual pics of the whole set up?
I'm not interested in this for the track but for snowboarding.
Thanks

EDIT: never mind. I did some researching and got the answers to my questions.

Yeah, its super easy. The camera is made for boarders/skiers/mountain bikers/skydivers/motocross guys/motorcyclists.

Its a SUPER easy switch. I cant imagine anything better for boarding, camera wise anyways.

Re: An alternative

GoPro just came out with the 2nd gen of their self contained camera; Better in low light, better resolution and resistance to vibration. Still waterproof to 100 ft depth. I have had good results with their 1st gen camera.

FYI, the VHoldR camera (720P model) is on Amazon for 170 plus free shipping. Price in shopping cart is 250. Enter code CONTOURH and the price drops to 170.
Dont know how long it will last though.
