Valve within the A/C fittings changeable?

Are the valves within the A/C fittings changeable? My A/C guy told me that the valve on the low side acted a little bit funny while sucking the freon out.

I can only see the whole (expensive!) A/C line in the parts catalog. Any ideas?

Unless I am mistaken, they are just regular schrader valves. Downside is that you will have to evacuate/recharge the cooling system again if you replace it. If it is a regular schrader you can find a replacement at any auto parts store.

I've asked the mechanic of the independant garage if they have these and he said no. Maybe I've to try a climate specialst.

I was at the local Honda garage today and they had a set of various valves since a few weeks.
