How much you think it's worth is all that counts. You're the one who is deciding on the value of your car in case it gets totaled or stolen. You can insure it for $100k as long as you pay the premium.

I valued my blown and rebuilt motor salvaged car through Hagerty at 55k for about 1200 a year paid in full.

Robbie, Haggerty values a No.2 Excellent OEM 95 at $67K, avg car is $54K. All the work you've done is pure value added IMHO and doesn't detract from OEM character. So I'd expect to have to pay between $57K and $65K for your car. Most importantly it shows you've really cared for the car and that'd be worth paying a premium to me so I'd lean more towards the $60K+ region. That said, the real question is: If your car was a total loss what would it cost to replace it with a NSX of like quality, and that equation is more than just year and mileage. Ultimately only you really know what kind of car it'd take to replace your baby and what that'd likely cost. I've realized I couldn't replace mine for less so I've insured it for $65K. And pray I'll never need to use it.

I have a '95, but it has more than 2x the miles. Hagerty recommended I increase my agreed value to $54k. I really don't think it's worth more than mid-40's, but the cost difference for the upgrade was very small.

I imagined a regular insurance policy would cover the car for ~ $40K... assuming it is a weekend car and >3000miles/yr, the premium shouldn't be that expensive.
