Using V1 audio out to mute radio??

Is it possible to route the Valentine 1 audio output into the head unit mute input (originally used by the OEM cellphone)?

Can a direct audio connection be made or is an interface required?

I just bought a V1 yesturday. Should be here today. I would be interested in that also.

Probably can be done. There is a connector on the back of the head unit that has all the wiring (speakers, alarm, phone input). You will have to take the line for the phone (see page 23-234 in the service manual on this site) and splice it into the V1. If you're lucky it will work fine. If you're unlucky I doubt you will damage anything.

Even better would be to find where the line coming out of the radio head unit goes and try to just plug in there. I have no idea where that is though. Anybody here know where the other end of that wire is?
