Using Penfed for out of state purchases

I am sure someone here has done it before. Please describe the procedure. I am considering a member's car here, but it is in a different state.

Note: the check cut by PenFed is a dual party check: To you and the person/company named on the title of the vehicle.

Did you decide on a car ?

Correct on the dual party check. I used PenFed and bought mine in California. Honestly, I can't remember any gotchas. The transaction went smooth.

I think the seller needs some reassurance of the safety of a Penfed check. He is a member here and will be posting here soon. Yes, I found one ... let us see how everything else falls into place.

I just purchased a car today from a fellow primer and wired the money to his penfed account. The transaction went smooth. No problems.

I did it, flew from VA to CA to pick up the car. Common sense, but the big thing you wanna make sure of is that everything is in order before you fly out. That's pretty much it.
