hi!

Here is like I got the FLTA2 suspension, the JIC box says 11kg rear and 9 kg front, like SoS is telling us.

I assume
Fr = Front dampers
Rr = rear dampers
right.......?

I just finished installing the front coilovers when I deceided to measure the diameter of the coils. Front 13mm, Rear 12mm diameter. I was like wtf......the thicker diameter is usualy the harder spring! I took out the front coilovers again and took off the plate with the 3 bolts and I found out the springs are 12kg!!!!! Then I looked at the rear springs: 10kg..........so guess what.......??????.......either the spring is on the wrong damper or the lower bracket is mixed up with front and rear. There can be 2 errors in assembling the coilovers: springs or brackets.

I also found out that the Rr dampers have a "19" on top of it and the Fr damper says "20". Look at the pic (sorry for the bad quality)

If all 4 dampers would be euqual I would have finished the install with turning around the springs, but I have no clue about the front and rear dampers now. So, whats the front and whats the rear damper? I think there is a difference at all, since it has 2 different numbers on top of the damper.

And I wonder why I got 12k and 10k springs?

I ordered the suspension via [email protected] like so many other parts from SoS in the past. Please help me out here ASAP, I want to finish the install today :) ! THANKS!!!!!!

Personally, I wouldnt worry about the f/r spring rates that you posted. Myself, I prefer the suprise rates over what you thought you were getting. The stiffer front and softer rear improves the handling of the NSX, IMO, by a large amount versus the softer front and stiffer rear (which is like stock).

I have those same rates in my TODAs (here: http://todaracingusa.com/product?cid=15&id=586 )

We changed the spring rate to 12 kg front, 10 kg rear about a year ago. This spring rate further reduces the amount of roll in the front of the car yet makies no difference on ride quality due to the high quality dampening of the shock used. This should be printed on your invoice. Despite these using a custom set up. JIC uses their generic boxes to package these in with their standard rates.

If you have any other questions, feel free to drop us a line.

Cheers,
