Very odd request I know, but I hope you can help me. I need a favour and I’m happy to pay for the service, but I’m looking at purchasing a rare engine (non honda) from someone in Vegas who has one in ‘ unknown ‘ but suspected to be good condition.
I need someone who can go and have a look at it and just check the basic stuff to make sure it turns over and doesn’t look like it’s got any major issues that are obvious to spot. I’m willing to take the risk it might have some kind of small problems of course as I know it won’t be easy to check for everything, but just want someone with basic engine knowledge who can give as good a checkover as possible before I take the risk of shipping it all the way to New Zealand.
I only have a couple of days to find someone so hoping someone from the Prime community will be able to help me.
If the engine seems OK then I will purchase the engine over ebay and then get the same person to go back and pick it up and get them to put it on a pallet and then I will get a shipping company to come and get it and ship it to me from there…………….
Know anyone that can help me ?? I only have a couple of days to sort.
I'm assuming it will only take 30 minutes to look over at most and some time to secure it on a pallet for shipping and I'm of course happy to cover that cost for someones time.
