I currently have the stock 15/16 and plan on getting new wheels in the 16/17 size. Here is the situation...i need new rear tires, but my fronts are good...so i would like to get rears to last a few months till the fronts wear down, at that point i will buy the new wheels and a set of 17" tires for the rear and used my current rears for fronts. I don't want my TCS to go crazy.

Just go out and buy a full set now. Otherwise you'll be like me and have a pile of "like new" tires taking up space in the garage.

That works - the fronts and rears will probably both be worn out at the same time. Just replace all four tires at that point. No problem.

That won't work. The rears have a much larger outer diameter than the fronts (about 7 percent larger). You will want to get tires that have the same ratio front to rear as stock. If you use a rear tire in front, that ratio will be thrown off and the TCS won't work.

Then your rear tires will be too small and the TCS won't work.

Bottom line - don't plan on swapping any tires between the NSX front and the NSX rear.

But your original thought will work - just replace the rear tires for now. When you need new ones, you'll probably need them on all four tires.
