Upgrading Old Antennae on NSX

I think everyone will agree with me that the antennae on the NSX is old school and ugly.

Most antennaes these days are either the "shark fin" or the short, rubber "spiral" antennae.

Can I replace my antennae and get a little "shark fin" mounted over the hole of the existing antennae???

Who does good work?

Thanks guys!

If I understand you correctly, you want to replace the factory NSX antenna with something like this? That will not look right IMO.

More appropriate aftermarket choices are the Shark II antenna or the Guppy Attack antenna. I have the Shark antenna on my NSXs and I'm very happy with it. You can even buy one for under $30USD shipped on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?&_nkw=Metra+44-UA46&_sacat=See-All-Categories

So that Metra fits perfectly over the hole?

Is this a basic do it yourself thing?

Do I have to run the new wire all the way to the radio, or just splice into the old wire?

Thanks!
