I have been meaning to do this for months but haven't gotten around to it. I made some changes to my car several months ago and meant to post before and after pics. So here is my attempt:

I hope this works, if not guess I will try again. Eventually will get professional pcitures as my roommate is a professional photographer, does video as well. Shoots a lot of women on cars etc. You can see some of his work here http://bellacine.com, this is his production company also myspace.com/dennistortora, he has a personal website but its down for maintenance if you are interested. Lots of cute girls...that come through my house :)

I tried switching the url codes to img and that didn't work, it just gave a box with an x in it. I left the URL code until I figure out how to fix it. Help?

Here you go. The linked pictures were quite large, so I've placed their thumbnail equivalents which are clickable to the larger versions.

They are WW, one of the newer ones. I was going to fit them myself seeing as I like to do things like this, and was told its not that hard but since I have never done it I didn't want my NSX to be a practice car so I paid a body shop to do it. They did a pretty good job, one thing I did do before giving it to them was put in aluminum L bracket as preventative type thing so they would not sag as I have heard others have done.

WOW!

Very nice!!!! I bet she feels brand new when you drop into that driver's seat and hit the gas. Sure they're visual changes, but I'd be damned if it just doesn't feel faster!! Right????

Enjoy!!! It's beautifully aggresive!!!
Red roof!!!
The drop on those nice wheels!!

All the best,

Well the first thing I ever did was lower her, she never looked right with the gap. As for feeling faster, she looks it and now sounds it with Ark exhaust, I really like driving with my windows down more these days.

To the rest of you thanks for the compliments:biggrin:

Timing couldn't be better on this posting. I'm looking into purchasing a WW body kit and wanted to see what it would look like on a red NSX. Now I know. Please describe what you meant by the aluminum L bracket for mounting...I don't want no stinking sagging when I get the kit. Also, if I can ask, how much was installation and painting? $700 for the kit seems like a popular price, but the wife is going to want to know what it's going to take to finish.

I love the look and am now sold on this, as well as going with the roof color change while I'm at it. Awesome!!!

PS: How in the heck do you do the thumbnails? I want to post some pics.

Thanks for sharing!

Jim

Bonk,

check out these two threads on sagging and the cure, its quick cheap and easy, I can't say if mine were going to sag, heard the newer kits are a bit stiffer but I prefer to be proactive and wonder rather than really find out. In addition I used the cantrell concepts rocker panel mounting kit from SOS, my installer said it made it much easier.

I ended up paying $900 for paint and install, this includes a lifetime warranty on the paint and install, they also molded the rear spats to the rear valence so I shouldn't have to worry about them falling like I have heard others. Also before you give them to your shop drill a hole at the bottom of the rear spats at the lowest point when mounted, 1/4" or so, so that they will drain water and debris that gets kicked up in there when it rains.

Another thing I had the shop do, which I love is they painted the lower valence all red, looks cleaner to me.

hth,

Carl

Oh as for the thumbnails, I have only been able to do it by shrinking the pictures to the allowable prime limits, not sure how CDX_NSX did it.

Awesome information, thanks. I feel the need to contact WW to see if they have made any adjustments to the side skirts to eliminate/reduce the sagging issue...or does someone know this? Sales would have to be reduced drastically unless they addressed it somehow. I'm not very handy, did your installers mount the aluminum reinforcement bars on the side skirts? Many questions, better asked off-line...PM me or email me direct, if you don't mind. Thanks for the incredibly helpful information!!!!

The L brackets is cheap and easy to do, you will need some glue, use Marine Goop and some clamps to hold them in place (you can get a bag of 14 or soemthing from lowes for $6) the screws are optional, I didn't do them nor did Chris from SOS think I really had to.

Like I said I did mine as preventative thing they might not of sagged but considering it cost me may $15 or so to make sure they never did, why wouldn't I do it. Anyway if you have any other questions you can PM me if you want. I did get the kit installed at a high end place, works on ferrari, lambos and regular cars. I have heard anywhere from $500 to $1000 on getting it painted and installed. Shop around for a place that does good body work imho it would be worth it to pay a little more and have it fit well. Also Make sure, double check that you tell the body shop how to line the front lip up, if you look at a good front shot of a WW it lines up with the ducting on the lower bumper. I have seen many that are not, I took a picture to the body shop just so they knew exactly how I wanted it the first time round.

Carl

I like it!

Reminds me of me   :

Yeah I figured you would like it, rims aside. You have quad tips too right?
Yup, quad tips very similar to yours - WW spats and color matched valence. A little while back I was actually die-hard on getting the an '02 valence, but I have since reconsidered - I really like the current look of it so I figured why change for the sake of changing. Plus nobody makes a nice faux '02 valence kit that fits quads.

Your Ark exhaust turned out great. The car looks so much more modern!

Sad to see another black roof gone & yet another on the way it appears (Bonk) <!--StartFragment -->

Nice work on the skirts though.

Constructive comment - I think your wheels might look better with some spacers on the rear - they look just a little to inset for me.

Ken,

Somehow I knew you wouldn't like the black to red conversion:smile: . I guess its just a difference of looking at the bodyline versus the whole car. I can see why one would like it either way.

As for the constructive comment, I agree, I have been debating about this for a little while but not sure if I want to run spacers. I think the fronts could come out too. I am also thinking about different rims.

I am re-evaluating the project...I do like the roof color change, but for now my black roof is safe, and for that matter, so are the skirts. As nice as NSX's are, I'm in no hurry to make the change...the car looks great either way.
