Great pics Jason...and thanks for all the advice on the s2k as i was shopping for one.

Here are some updated pics as of July 11th. I just picked up some 06-07 OEM shoes for the S2k. I don't want to go overboard with this car, for now I just want super clean, factory look, so here are some shots after I installed the wheels.

Had the S2000 for 4 years.

NSX for 2 years :)

In addition to the NSXs, I also have an '02 Grand Prix White / Red S2000. I love them both.

i have been thinking about trading it in for a fit.

Had a 2001 Silverstone on Red for one year.
Sold that when the glass rear window became available in 2002 and we bought a 2002 Spa Yellow Pearl on black.

Only sold that due to my father's debilitating stroke and the need to help my parents out.

Once we got my Mom back on her feet, it was a very tough decision whether to buy another S2K or get the NSX. I know this won't be a popular statement but the newer, "improved" 2.2L motor S2K's never really warmed my sports car fires the way the older 2.0L high revving motored cars did.

As much as I loved the S2Ks, I am glad we got the NSX.

We bought a 2004 Silverstone after the deal for a 2nd NSX fell through. Two NSXs would have been nice, but we are very happy w/ the S2000.
OEM chin spoiler, side strakes, trunk lip spoiler
JBL stealth box w/ 10" sub, component speakers to replace the crappy OEM ones, JBL 4ch amp.
And some other stuff.

The S2000 is really fun to drive.

Hi,

I was owner of both great cars while ago.
I owned my sc S2000 4 years, great time with it
I have owned my nsx now about 1 year.

Some pic of my S2000 & nsx.

I totally agree!! I drove a friend of mines '04 S2000 with the 'improved' motor and was bored to tears. I missed the 9,000 RPM redline of my older S2000. Half of the fun is in hearing the screaming revs.

Had a 2005 Silverstone S2000 for a year. Sold it to buy the R34 GT-R that couldn't pass smog and be legally registered w/o risk. Debating whether I should get another S2000.....

Hey All

I'm in this club as well with a Lagune Seca Blue S2K. Notice the NSX wheels:biggrin:

  What does being "white" have to do with it??

Your right though. I'm only 5'8'' 180 lbs, and I felt clausterphobic when I first got the S2K. But, putting the top down give you room to breath:redface: That didn't help?? Gotta get the stretchy pants!!!

Oh yeah, I've owned my Berlina Black '01 S2000 for a year and a half now. I'm considering selling it. The insurance here in Miami is criminal. Excuse the Pun. If you live in Miami, you would get the pun.

So the question must be asked....what happened to the Skyline?

Well, the S2000 is an Asian car made for an Asian market.....and statisticly Asians are much smaller stature then typical white Americans, both in height and width.

In fact, I believe reading that Honda actually widend the seats for the US cars even.

Blue, huh? Sorry to hear that.

You know Silverstone is the best color on the S2000. Just messin' w/ you. Figured why not continue the Blue/Silver debate w/ the S2000 too.

I have a Silverstone S2000, but I do have to admit, the Laguna Seca Blue looks really nice in person on the S2000.

So the question must be asked....what happened to the Skyline?

After 5 months of trying to find a way to get it legally registered w/o risk of getting caught or losing the car, I had to let it go. Went to a guy in PA, last I heard.

The only way that the '96+ Skylines can be registered w/o risk is:

1. A Motorex car with documents
2. In an area that doesn't require smog checks (and you actually live in that area)
3. In a state that doesn't require smog check to transfer title

Really? I'm only 5'8'' 180 lbs and have a somewhat small waist but I fit nice and snug in the S2000 and the NSX, so I guess being a big guy like you can be a challenge in the S2k. I've actually ripped a pair of shorts getting out (or was it in) the NSX because it was so low. I was with a date also, sooooo....yeah, that made her laugh all night long.

I hate to play devil's advocate, but there are a few things I can't stand about the S2k. I hate the absolute absence of torque when I accelerate from a dead stop. Sometimes I feel like I have to ride the clutch or rev the engine and pop the clutch just to get the car to move like any other car. I've had several issues with the top, and had to replace the latch that holds the top twice now. The latest issue is that the top doesn't fasten down all the way making alot of wind noise. The car feels unstable at high speeds. Wet handling leaves alot to be desired.

That being said, before I get flamed. What are some NOT TOO expensive mods to up the torque, tighten up the handling, and give me more top reliability?

Thus far, my research suggests I should get a cooler running thermostat; the crossbar beam under the car, a fat front sway bar, hardtop latches for the topper, and better tires than the factory SO2s. Any further suggestions? Suspension?

I'm assuming most of you guys have had more experience with an S2K than I so I would appreciate any advice.
