I use standard engine/parts solvent that most repair shops use.  It's called Solvoil which I can get in 5 gallon cans from a local distributor in my area.  Since  I have a parts washer I then wash the filter completely using this and then let it drain for a long time  while standing on one corner face (red side) down.  After about an hour or so I take the filter and swing it while holding it to get rid of any reidue of cleaner and then use the Uni spray foam oil on both surfaces.  You can find this at most motorcyle dealers if you look for it.  I've had my filter for over 10 years and it's still going strong.  Just remember to clean it regularly depending on your driving conditions.  At least every 5,000 miles.
