I just wanted to post my experience with removing undercoating. I know there are a few threads on this. I found that using the 3M Citrus based Adhesive Remover works very well. Just sprayed on and scrubbed with a nylon brush. Took a few application in thicker areas. I thought it was a nice alternative to using solvents.

That would have been a very useful post ~6 months ago :).

I definately probably lost a few brain cells with what I used...even with decent ventilation.

Good idea!

I used citrus-based hand cleaners (like some kinds of GoJo) with the benefits of pumice and lanolin too

Lanolin should be good for the rubbers on the suspension!

I probably killed a few brain cells also with petroleum-based solvents, but I figure it's a selective process - only kills off the non-essential ones
Plus, the solvents clean A LOT faster.

I paid an extra $5000 for undercoating on my NSX. Why would I want to remove it. I also bought pin stripping, micro dot vin panel stamping, and lifetime paint protection with it.

I also got the solar powered headlight package. For some reason it never works correctly at night.
