I am on my third NSX and have the same complaint every time I open the hood and am staring at the friggin ground! WTH ? Why has no one designed and built an underbody panel to keep this area clean? The battery is right there in the Element’s along with all the ABS and AC gear.
Anyone know of a solution short of me having to fabricate something myself ?
Thanks
George

It already exist from the factory. On a regular NSX heat from the radiator escapes out the bottom of the car, so the front area needs to be open. However, the NSX-R has a vented hood and flat bottom up front. If you want a flat bottom you can get the Downforce NSX-R replica flat bottom, but it should be used in combination with a vented hood. Also note that some people complain that with a vented hood the hot radiator air gets pulled into the HVAC system so you can get hot air instead of cool air coming into the cabin.

You also won't see much if you have the vented hood and air duct.

Anyone have the installation manuals for the battery undertray? In particular, I'm wondering where the holes have to be drilled.

i have every piece you mention and I never have a problem with cold ac. I will say that if I have the circulate vent closed its cold if it’s open, it’s definitely warmer but not because of the vented hood but because the ambient outside temperature is hot.

in regards to the battery tray holes, most of them line up with the pieces downforce makes very well and I only had to drill and fabricate a couple bolt points.
