Just got my front end Clear Bra'd at Ultra Shield Phoenix. They do their work out of a couple bays at the United Auto Group (Jaguar, Penske Museum etc) at Scottsdale and Chauncey.

Ryan was my guy and he was great. Real professional, been doing it a long time, and FAST... in and out in about an hour and a half. (Enough time to spend walking the UAG compound, good times)

And here's the meat and potatoes... It was $300 for the front bumper and the two headlights. I didn't want the mirrors or the halfway job on the hood... (another $275) He quoted $275 for the bumper and did the lights for an extra $25. It looks good, the lines blend in because of the black hoodline. After spending $1000 for the full bumper repaint, the $300 is chump change! Here's his number if interested:

I'd post pics, but you can't see the lines anyway:biggrin:

Erin, it does have WW. He covered it up... I almost forgot about that... All is covered, but I'm not sure how he did it through the computer... oh well as long as it's done, right?

Did you go ClearBra brand or 3M?

They are made by different companies using different materials. I went with the 3M, as recommended by many friends. I beleive the 3M goes by Clear Shield. From what i saw from my installer was ClearBra brand has a little PVC in it and with alot of sun, it has a tendantcy to go Yellow. They had many samples of the ClearBra brand with there logo that was really yellow. They did not and would install it.

I did not want to go with the halfway job on the hood either!

It seems we don't have to anymore!!! 3M make it in 48" widths!!

See here...

Hmmm... good to know. Ultra Shield uses the 3M brand, so it sounds like it's good to go!!

FYI I have a vendor that comes to the dealership to install clear bras on all types and makes of vehicles. Some of the information he shared with me is that any other product other than theirs (InvisiBra) by applying it to the headlights may force the headlights to explode due to heat not being about to escape from the material used on the lens. Just a heads up, not sure how true this is but it is something that will DEFINATELY be worth checking into.

BTW... ANY PICS?!?!??!

I'm glad you didn't completely believe him... What an absolute crock of sh*t!

Some salesman will try to tell you anything won't they! I mean how stupid must you be to believe a story like that! Unbelieveable!

I will try and get some pics soon. As far as the width of the film, this vendor did not have thing wider than 18", so thats how far up the hood it goes. And it does not look bad one bit!

And the Zymol guy told me that if I used Mothers or Meguirs to wax my car it would cause a juxtaposition between the fourth dimension and all NSXs would disappear off the planet...

I don't see how his product would be any more "breathable" than another guys... and I've heard of no X's exploding on this site... (well, not NSX's anyway... the divorcee maybe:biggrin: )
