turn signal help

hi guys,
when i got the car, the turn-signal-cancelling function did not work- still doesn't. i got the thing apart to see if maybe the trigger on the steering wheel is misaligned with the switch like it can happen on some cars, but i discovered that the setup is completely different. i see a switch with two plastic white rollers that can be pushed in- obviusly the switch. what is the trigger? there is nothing on the steering wheel shaft, nothing on the srs hub. am i missing a part or a clue?

Do a search here on prime. There is a cleaning procedure that will probably fix it for you.

thanks, i will clean them but i am still failing to find the triggering feature which makes me wonder if it is not missing- somebody has been all over the underneath of the dash, rerouting the harness and butchering shit up. i spent almost a week bringing it back to stock.

so- the last question please:

what triggers the switch?

am i missing a small sleeve that would fit in the airbox sensor hub and have a cam on the outside that triggers the rollers?

is there another part that fits under the "srs-hub"? if there is i am missing it.
