They are $100 each or $100 per pair? and is that retail or with a NSXCA discount?

List price is $63.73 each, and you can find them discounted for around $100 per pair. Part number 74872-SL0-013.

If you want to send them to Frank Irvine, he can rebuild them for less than that.

I do not think it is $18.00 each. Here is the text from Frank's post:(I added the bold to the one phrase)
Hi NSX owners.
With winter approaching& you have proberly been thinking about getting your trunk& engine cover struts replaced?
You may or maynot have heard of Strutwise here in British Columbia Vancouver as i rebuild your existing Showa factory fitted struts.
The cost is $40 per strut turn around time is 2 days from when they arrive.
Providing your shafts have not been damaged by being clamped with vice grip pliers(shocking practice) but it does go on unfortunitly.
Owners quite often don't know mechanics are doing that till they send them to me.
When shipping be sure to declare the value at $1 to avoid custom duty as some owners declare at full value(Ouch!)
Talk to fellow NSX owners about my work& service .
All you need to do is remove your struts(don't try to remove the ball)& send complete strut to me& our prices are in Canadian $
We accept Visa or MasterCard for payment.
Our services include other makes as well.
e-mail at [email protected] for any queries you may have.
Happy&Safe Motoring,
Frank Irvine,
Strutwise.

I just got a pair from dali racing. Cost me $100 and took me about 15 min to swap out. There are easy instructions under the FAQ DIY.

How do you get them off of the car?
It's one unit (the "ball part" and the "socket part" are both part of the unit) and it's just a bunch of bolts that hold them on.

Does anyone know a place in Southern California that does this service?
I haven't heard of anyplace, anywhere in the United States that does this.

That's what threw me off. I bought a set off of ebay and ball part was not included.
