Trunk moisture?

Has anyone experienced any moisture in their trunk? I've noticed there seems to be a great deal of humidity in there. My jack and tool kit are often very moist as is anything in the trunk itself. I've seen water in the tail light lenses too.
I notice this especially after a drive. Possibly coming from the exhaust or...???

Cheers,

Sounds like either the tail lights are not bolted up tightly enough allowing moistue to seep in past the seals/gaskets, or the actualy gaskets on the tail lights are damaged. I'd also check the weatherstrip running along the perimeter of the top of the trunk opening for obvious cuts or tears.

Moisture in the trunk is not normal. The most frequent areas of leakage are the ones Hugh mentioned to check.

Also make sure you completely dry it out. A couple years back I shampoo'd the carpet back there and closed it up *thinking* it was dry enough. A couple days later I opened it up to find condensation on the bottom side of the lid. I was afraid there was a leak. So I took out all of the carpets and the tool kit and left the trunk open in the sun to let it dry for a day. Never had a spot of moisture since. I think the trunk just seals very tight. If there is alot of moisture there may be moisture in the tail lights too. Leaving it all open on a sunny/hot day should evap it out. You'll find out soon enough if there's a leak if the moisture reappears.
