There are so many programs for that thing its not funny. My friend keeps 6 full movies on his and uses it for navigation also in his car.

Shannon, Congrats on your new Treo. I notice that when I try to view NSXPRIME on my Treo, I can't access some of the links i.e. 'Quick Links'. I wonder if Lud can make the site user friendly for PDAs? If you have problems with the phone constantly locking up and you need to reset it, you'll notice you have to remove the battery cover for any soft resets. This sucks if you have a case for your phone and need to do a soft reset. You'll have to remove the case and battery cover to do this...what a poor design  They make a new battery cover from Seidio with an embedded reset hole. Here is a pic:

I bought me a UniQase Treo 650 Swivel Skin Case to allow for maximum protection & usage of my Treo. I also cut a small hole in it so I could go through the reset hole in the battery cover. Here is a pic of that as well:

Ty,

Thanks for all the info you gave me while i was researching treo phones. I see what you mean about having to remove the battery cover to reset it. So far i've been lucky and haven't had any lockups (knock on wood). I went ahead and purchased a bluetooth headset (sony hbh-662) to go along with it. So far its working good too. I am too nervous to go with a open faced case....i'm too nervous that i'll scratch up the face if its not fully covered.

I forgot to add that I have a screen protector on it like the one below. This will protect it from being scratched up.

The 700 is out? I might need to look into that phone especially for my job.

I have a PDA phone and it's a mixed love and hate relationship with it:

The good parts:

1- The most important thing about it is the ease of making schedules and tasks on it

2- Easy to write notes and memorandums at a jippy

3- Almost able to connect with anything in the world: Infrared, Bluetooth, wi-fi, small USB, SD card readers.

4- omni powerful, you can install anything on your mind, for me: e-books related to physics, and other sciences

5- you can download scientific calculators and cash organizers and other very handy stuff

6- you can use a lot of toys like movie players, and full games (my field installed a full 1993 PC game on it), browsing the internet.

The bad parts:

1- very big
2- very heavy
3- very bulky in your pocket
4- stupid windows operating system is slow and unreliable
5- expensive
6- nowhere near as stylish as normal mobile phones nor easy to use

having said that, I have to admit, once you get used to the task managers and the schedule manager and the notes, you're absolutely hocked with it and you'll never be able to get rid of it no matter how much you try and convince your self about its drawbacks
