Hey David,How's things? It is the axle seal. I would not recommned any "magic elixer" for this. It will probably have a bad effect on the trans.I beleive the seal is only a few bucks. You said it is on the drivers side, so you will have to remove that axle shaft and replace the seal.Based on things you have done already, it should be a few hour job.HTH,LarryB
