I was doing a search for GM Syncromesh. One of the listings that came up was AMSOIL Syncromesh. Has anyone out there tried this stuff? It is listed as a 5W-30 weight. I am going to drain out my Quaker State Q full synthetic 5w-30 that I am currently running. I am planning on pulling my transmission out next spring to replace 4th and 5th gear syncros (and anything else that I find when I get it opened up). I may try one of these snake oils just to see if there is any difference before the operation. I will still pull the trans to replace the rear main seal that is leaking. I need some good old auto mechanic therapy. Taking the trans apart looks like great fun.
