hey guys,

Hopefully some of you can help to trouble shoot for me.

After i install my 6 spds tranny, from tiem to time, my clutch was slipping.  this afternoon, it was so bad that I can not even go uphill at all.. and I can not gas too hard, because if I do, the clutch would only slip

After, the tech fixed it, he told me that he adjusted the “master cylinder” .. I am not sure if that is what he means.  I thought master cylinders are for the brake.. oh well..

Basically, that is the thing to adjust clutch engagement point ..

Tonite, I downshift to 3rd gear on the freeway, all of a sudden the clutch pedal got stuck all the way down to the floor…   I had to drive in 3rd gear until I pull off from the freeway.

While I am driving it, I can hear the metal clicking (or banging something) sound.. as if I was dragging a metal pipe under my car.

So I parked my car, and I noticed (1) my pedal is all the way down to the floor.  When I lift it up, it will stay all the way up, and when I press it again, it will drop all the way down to the floor (without any resistance)

(2). I don’t see any metal (or metal pipe) hanging under my car..  not sure where that noise is coming from (3), I see about ½ qtr of clutch fluid (brake fluid) dripping underneath the car (from the tranny)

what do you guys think the problem might be?  I understand this is hard to diagnose the problem this way..  sorry,, any idea will help

thanks

-jjc.
