Tranny Help???????

Last night I shifted from 2nd to 3rd under full acceleration and the rear wheels locked up.I took the car out of gear and coasted to a stop.Now the clutch pedal is stuck depressed and the starter will engage but will not turn the engine over.

Anyone out there know if it is a clutch issue or the whole tranny?

I don't know the answer, but it sounds really bad. It might not even be your tranny :frown:

Hi Wayne –

Sorry to hear about your troubles. The symptoms you describe (wheels locking & clutch problem) usually are related to two independent systems so it's a little difficult to guess what is wrong with the car. I’d expect the wheels locking up to be perhaps related to a broken diff gear or main gears and the clutch pedal to be hydraulic related. If we can be of help, please give us a buzz.
