What is the purpose of this part? I mean it sits directly on top of a solid piece so i doubt there is much flex there.

Aren't these typically used with from engine designs because it is an open area above the engine compartment which can flex? Honda put one back there in the engine compartment area already.

This looks like a mod for the sake of doing it and not much else. Of course i am often wrong about these things so who knows. Maybe one of our track experts will jump in here and educate me on what i'm missing.

Same concept.

Whether it works or not, makes a difference or not remains to be seen. It would have to be back-to-backed at a track day with a consistent car, driver, conditions. A service that FX Motorsports Development offers (sorry for the shameless plug ;))

It definately won't shave off 0.2 seconds from your lap time, but like the lower NSX-R chassis bracesr and/or the STMPO lower chassis bar, it can improve the ridgidity of the front of the car.
