I ran my car at the track in Baytown Texas. It ran 12.5 at 109 and cut a 1.86 sixty foot.

I have custom Autologic Inc. headers and exhaust, Autologic Inc. chip, and tranny short gears.

The car rocks.
Thanks to Brad, Jason, and Ben at Autologic Inc. Special thanks to the late night help from Jay at Autologic Inc to get my car up and running fast.

Ya the dragstip, sorry. The track in Houston is the dragstip because there is no track in town. You know us southerners.

In your profile it says you have a 91 - that is extraordinary that you ran a 12.5!

Do you mind scanning and posting your slip? Any other weight savings, information on the weather, slicks?

No offence but I can't remember anyone ever posting a 12.5 quarter mile on a NA NSX. And to think you have a 91 with only IHE mods and a chip! Hell - with a CT Supercharger the Comptech people couldn't touch your time!

I have taken weight out (normal stuff) and I use Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole position tires. The weather was in the 80's, normal humidity for Houston. I don't have a scanner, but I assure you it is truthfull. I don't know if you saw, but I edited my first message saying that I also have short gears.

Do you have an aftermarket ring and pinion as well as short gears?

And by normal weight reduction, I mean spare tire, sound deadening material, engine cover, trunk carpet, airbag, bumper beams, heavy exhuast (replaced by light straight pipes), exhaust manifolds (replaced by much lighter headers), tcs computer, and other little nicknacks. This is normal right?

I don't think there's a "normal" meaning a standard set of weight reduction. There are those who empty the spare tire, floor mats, and tools. There are those like you. There are those who go even further and gut the interior, substitute Lexan for body glass, etc.

Any idea how much weight you have saved vs the stock car (3010 pounds curb weight, full fluids)?

That is one amazing time. Congrats! Can you get a friend to scan it. It would be good for the FAQ under performance...

I agree - surely a lot of NSXers in Houston could scan and post it for you. Heck - if you PM me I will give you my fax number so you can fax it to me and I will scan, host, and post it.

Not so much that I don't believe you - but again - many others who visit this site from other boards might not and it would be a good testiment to the potential 1/4 mile times of the original coupes (after all these years).

Also - maybe you all in Houston could have a drag night where you all go out and try to match those numbers. Would be fun!

I call BS till shown.

Here is the fax and scan. Read em' and weap boys!

Seriously DPG - are you planning on going back to the drag to equal this / better this? I am sure a lot of people would love to see you race and you all can post pictures and a video of the event.

In any event - here is the proof I was sent:

Yep, it was BS! It didn't run 12.5, it ran 12.529. :p Seriously though; Impressive. Probably a few NSX owners making phone calls about Autologic chips right about now. :D

Wow! Awesome! Congrats! Hmmm... Autologic is about 5 hours from here.... If I leave now I can be there by 8:30 ... ;)

Congrats man, that is smoking fast.

Any specs on the chip?

Netviper, I'll meet you in Houston:D

What I'm really curious about however is what was car number 116? He was running insanely fast. Like motorcycle fast.

my thoughts exactly. what kinda car did you line up against? cause the thing was fast.

I don't remember what car it was, b/c I was too focused on getting a good run in.

That time slip falls in line with what the NSX runs, in line with its mods. I consistently ran 8.9, 9.0 in the 1/8 with 17/17 rims/street tires set-up, regular weight saving and a chip, (beat a Mach 1 Mustang in the proces.) This NSX has less weight than mine and more power, therefore, post a better time.

i'm impressed by the 60' and 330' times. that seems to be where you are picking up a few tenths. shows that you were able to get the tires to hook up pretty good. not bad for street tires. congrats!! --paul
