Hi guys...I bought a nsx with the following modifications around a year ago. Ive been giving a lot of thought to doing some track day events here in hawaii. I beleave we only have SCCA available ( I tried this in my stock 99 Viper and did horribly)

So with the modifications im about to post...Do you think the car is pretty much ready and should handle well with the combination the previous owner put together. Or is it a poor combination from your experiance..

I find that the Playstation annoys other drivers during a track session but screw them I get board driving all that time

Don't know about your BBK but I have been in a car with huge front 6 piston brakes and it did FEEL like it was slowing faster but all it was really doing was making the front end dive. Hopefully you have a brake bias control lever or knob if you have the stock rear calipers?

All the rest like sways, non compliance parts are a feeling up to you and the search here on Prime will tell you. If it can be done somebody has and posted about it

Whooo...........missed the wheels.........search for a set of stock NO won't fit your BBK..........

Try to find a 17x8, 17x9 or 17x8, 18x9 combo with a good set of tires for the track. 18,19s are slow, slower, slowest

With you running the "Basch Boost" what computer are you running? Myself being one of the many blowing up the motor on a track day. Run a well tuned car AEM or AEM FIC and add an Accusump with a baffled pan if your track has any banking. You'll thank me later.

So I need

-AEM computer ( currently using the version 2 SS box)
-accusump with baffled pan
-tires...Hmm..So what I have on their isnt good

Thanks for the help

yeah, first thing first, the tires had to go. If you for some reason like to spend a little less money, at least get the spt for front and back. Ultimately, you need a set of max. performance summer tires, (do a search.)

but then eventually you will need to go 17/18 set up and get a set of nice R compound tires for optimum grip...

maybe ditching the playstation and subs.

With my old setup, I also have Tein RA, I liked to adjust it all the way to stiffest. (maybe 1-2 click back on the front.) Seems the damper is under-damped the spring rate. But then I still have OEM sways on both end.

hope it helps.

I also had my teain RA adjust to stiffest and the 2 back...This was amazingly stable at low speeds. But I noticed at high acelleration ( exp. 70-110 mph blast that the slightest differance in road surface or the slightest pull to the left/right of my hand would be drastic and on a few instances actually put me in a differant lane) this was pretty scary..

I put her to max and then around 5 clicks back and the problem went away and the handling was still 90% their at lower speeds.

Has the tein RA proven to be a good investment over stock at the track???

brand new at around $2500, maybe not anymore. You couldn't get them anyway, they make Tein monoflex is pretty good. I say if you want to keep it under $3500, you may want to wait and see if the KW V3 worths it. For now, maybe a R suspension, or used set of comptech pro.

By the way I never had the experience you had with the Tein RA, right up to the point of one totally fail shocks, it still performing alright wtih me. I suspected your car had more alignment problem than a defected shock.

You are probally right. I had the vehicle raised an inch as the seller had it slammed to the ground and I was scraping everything
