Not really feeling it. (Looks heavy and non-sporty...more of a country club car from the front). I'll wait for more angles tho, it does have some potential.

I'd like them to just make the original first so we can have something drool over!

Celica front end with Aston Martin Rear end... Actually quite nice and aggressive looking.

Although a bit little spaceship i think, i like it, i think it looks expensive and like a Japanesse version of exotica ,,, i like ..

Honestly, it doesn't do any more for me than this car:

Sure, it's a little more edgy...but it looks heavy, plush and more show than go. But hey, that's probably just me.

I'm sure seeing it out in the "wild" or next to other cars would give me a better overall sense of its size...maybe it's smaller than I'm picking up right now. I liked the hard top version when I first saw it...

I figured out why I don't like this car....it looks too much like a LEXUS! Must be some sort of subliminal problem I have...I just don't want to like it. I'll try therapy and see what happens. (It's not the car, it's me...I'm ok with that)

More show than go????!!!!! Have you not heard what this thing did at "The Ring"?? Granted, that may have been a skin and bones pre-production version, but even if the production version is 10-20 seconds slower, it's still has plenty of performance to keep it from the more show than go label. I'm sure the convertible will be slower, but I don't think $150K will keep this from selling. The SL65 sells for that much and more and isn't near this beautiful or as potent a performer.

Lexus not only has put out a solid proposal and concept for its super car, but it has come out with two variants (coupe and convertible). Lexus WILL be producing at least the couple version very soon. Honda has a stretched S2000 test mule. Who's show and who's go??

... finesse this!

It's not just you, doc'. I am in the same camp on this as you.

The newer generation Lexus vehicles are designed/styled w/ their in-house "L-finesse" philosophy. Seems like the LF-A is is a continuation of that trend.

I wasn't much of a fan of the "L-finesse" process before... and not likely now.

I said it "looked" more show than go. As far as all those "ring" rumors, I'm not even considering that crap until we see some solid evidence. The coupe version intrigued me....this version makes me think, "Hey, great, another lame plush, quasi handling vehicle made for people who don't know what else to do with their money." It (to me) looks about as potent as a BMW 645 or Jaguar (take your pic).

This does not look like an enthusiast's car...and that's what bothers me.

Honestly, I hope I'm wrong...and I'll hold onto that hope till I see one in person. Again, the coupe showed promise imo.

LF-A looks a lot better in person than the GT-R does. My first time seeing both up close yesterday. Skyline is not sexy! People who want that car just want numbers. It's a BIG car nothing low about it. Interior looks Nissan cheap too. Funny thing is as uninspiring as the GT-R is the new M3 is worse:frown:

This looks about right....

I remember this picture, it was spy photo for the next Supra now they are calling it lexus:confused: should be called Supra.lol

In convertible trim it looks like 350Z front with hint of celica, looks better coupe.

The LF-A is the real deal folks.
It has the grunt and the handling to diss some serious European exotics.
Think 552 hp 4.8li V-10 that loves to scream; 9000RPM redline.

Cosider that it is about as long as a 911, as wide as a Corvette and you will have a better sense of its looks in the flesh. This convertible is definitely going to be heavier and taller than the coupe in addition to wearing different wheel/tires.

Toyota has achieved what Honda should have produced a long, long time ago.

No, the next Supra has a folding hard targa top, and looks much better IMO. The car shown above has been billed as the LF-A since the beginning. Please pay closer attention while at school.

I like the car from the passenger compartment and back. The front (along with the crazy looking headlight shapes) is kinda out in left field for me. But I agree with a couple posts here. Better looking than the GT-R. Hopefully its fun to drive and not too luxurious. I drove my friends SC and its a little too pillowy and soft for my taste.

I think this car is gorgeous. Personally im not really a convertible guy so i like the coupe better. From what we've all been hearing and seeing.......toyota and nissan have both delivered on what they promised.
What do we have from honda?? A stretched s2k mule and a lot of empty promises. Like ive been saying all along..........i hope both cars sell and sell well! Maybe thats the wake up call Honda needs.

BREAKING NEWS:..........While the other Japanese car makers have been displaying their latest and greatest performance cars like the Mazda Furai, the Mistu-Ra and the Lexus LF-A, Honda, not to be left behind has displayed their next generation of the Honda Pilot SUV and the "upscale" Acura division has unveiled the diesel engine that is to be introduced into their people haulers no latter than 2009. The smiling Fukui, standing besides the oil burner could barely restrain his enthusiasm as he enumerated the various virtues of this latest slap on the face of Soichiro Honda.

Sorry Lift I was there and he didn't smile once during his speech and the new Pilot got a lukewarm response. The Mugen Si and the CR S2000 were on the side of the display area with very little attention being given to either by Honda. Forefront was the CRZ as anything sporty.

I think Fukui might be being blamed unfairly for their current sports car problems. Although as president it falls to him to be blamed for things. Guy I was talking to said something that really got me thinking later. He mentioned how engineers don't have MBAs and think about the business plan. If we look at everything currently going on with Honda it seems as though the business people are really pushing what's going on in Honda instead of the engineers. Perhaps since business is so good right now w/o having unprofitable sport cars dragging down the bottom line these numbers are steering Fukui towards not focusing on the original dream. Money can cause people to lose their way. Maybe that's why Uheara decided to move along. American Honda is where most of Hondas money comes from and they didn't want the NSX anymore they always wanted a Boxtser competitor.

It might be that Fukui is forcing the new sports car on them.

Sorry I just didn't get a bad vide from the guy. Certainly not the evil mastermind some on prime have made him out to be .. LOL

Well said Wing, I hope some of these bean counters can be pushed aside to make room for some enthusiasts at Honda Motor Co.

Looks good to me. Doesn't even look like a FR layout or MR layout. How can they fit a v10 in that slender hood? It looks like it could lose some weight though and some height.
