Already last year car enthusiasts from all over Europe had a lot of fun and celebrated a mobile party at it’s best. This years’ Torpedo Run ( www.torpedorun.com ) will be held between 22nd September 2006 and 24th September 2006. With the starting line at Lake Tegern, South of Munich (Germany), and finishing line in Hamburg, the pulsating city in the North of Germany.

During the run across four European countries, you can look forward to exclusive events, eccentric parties, luxury hotels or gambling in a casino. The Torpedo Run gives you a long weekend of sheer fun!

On the German highways (Autobahn) you will be able to drive as fast as you want. You will also get to know winding roads in the mountains and get to experience the most attractive and highest pass roads of the Alps. New challenges and exclusive events are going to await you at the checkpoints. At the daily finish you will stay in luxury hotels and will experience eccentric parties each day.

Highlight of the Torpedo Run in 2006 is the “holy” automotive proving ground of Papenburg (Germany), which is usually closed for public access. There you can experience modern racetracks and an impressive high speed oval, exclusively reserved for us: The high speed oval with banked curves of up to 49.7 degrees is like a shot of adrenaline when you feel the zero side force. Furthermore the reproduction of the small Hockenheimring, a track known by Formula 1 fans is impressive and loaded with action.

Cars who join the Torpedo Run are not classified. Whether you are driving a brand-new Porsche or Ferrari, a cool Mini S or a classic Jaguar - your passion for the Torpedo Run is what counts! “Prestige Cars”, among others, has already entered the event.

Whoever thinks they have the determination for one great adventure, should enter the Torpedo Run in 2006. You find more information and the entry forms on www.torpedorun.com

To mention only some of the cars which have already been entered: Ferrari F430 Spider, Porsche Turbo, Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG, TVR Chimaera and other exclusive sportscars. Whether you are driving a brand-new Porsche or Ferrari, a cool Mini S or a classic Jaguar - your passion for the Torpedo Run is what counts!

The international media is on the spot. In Germany the Auto-Reporter and Sport1.de announced the Torpedo Run already. Even a Chinese magazine wrote an article about the Torpedo Run. The German magazine "Prestige Cars" even entered the whole event to experience a weekend of sheer fun. "auto motor und sport", a very popular magazine in Germany, has announced to be on the spot, too. Furthermore a well known TV station is interested in covering the Torpedo Run.

Yay- More "rich people gone wild"...

I am getting a little sick of these type of rallies.

I usually enjoy the whole spectacle of seeing exotic cars all gathered in one place. I have seen the videos, and how much "fun" they are.

Maybe I am just jealous.

The Torpedo Run offers a lot, but it's not that expensive compared to similar events: The entry fee for each vehicle (2 persons) taking part in the Torpedo Run 2006 is 1950 Euros. That is 975 Euros per person. The entry fee includes staying at luxury hotels during the rally. A double room is provided at all hotels. Dinner is provided each evening, along with breakfast every morning. The entry fee also includes events and parties during the rally and other exclusive comforts. Teams (1 team = 2 persons) who organize the overnight stays and breakfast by themselves, have to pay 1550 Euros; that is 775 Euros per person.
