guys need help this is the second time now,, the first time I noticed smoke I was driving the car to the Casino, got it up to 90mph or so with girlfriend, valet-ed the car got out was a slight smoke coming from the engine vent near the trunk, there was some old oil from age/ checked the oil drain plug little loose, so the next day cleaned the whole engine with a combination of degreaser and carb/choke cleaner, well no problems,, for almost a week,, just took my car across the bridge got it up to XXXmph (cant legally say) and when I got home the smoke has returned,, looked under not one drop of oil anywhere? could it be my head gaskets? Valve gaskets? Im thinking Valve gasket,, because if it was head gasket there would be smoke at any speed/duration of driving??? any ideas, 1992 NSX 5/speed,, what should I check or order from the dealer?

If you see smoke I'd have closer look where it's coming from and start from there. What does it smell/look like?

its smells like burnt oil,, and the smoke color is white-ish and I couldnt find where it was coming from,, yikes!!

when you say front head cover do you mean the valve gasket? and sparkplug gaskets? could it be both

Yes, the valve cover. you need to get the kit which includes the edge gasket, the spark plug hole gaskets and the rubber backed hold down washers.

The main reason the edge gasket leaks is the hold down washers are shot and most likelly were not replaced when the edge gasket was changed. They go to a stop so tightening them will not help, they need to be replaced.

thanks alot guys for your help, Im gonna go order the complete set from the dealer Monday,, again thanks,, hopefully this is the issue!!

Also check your vtec solenoid. They may be leaking too. Its cheap insurance to replace that seal and the filter while you're doing the valve cover gaskets, also don't forget the semi-circle cam plugs

semi circle cam plug? do you know the part number? can you think of anything else while Im in there?
