top gear @ video.google missing

Am I losing my mind or did all the Top Gear videos disappear from the video.google site?

I noticed that as well while I was browsing through the usuals during lunch at work.

I found couple of obscure ones but all the major Top Gear vids that were on google seem to have been pulled or something.
There does seem to be all the 5th gears ones still on google though.

Anybody know anything about this?

I noticed that too and someone told me it's because of copyright infringement?!. Luckly I've downloaded a lot of it in my Ipod. If someone has some info please chime in.

Anyway, YouTube still have a number of them but not as many as Google used to be. Download them while they're still here.

BTW, which other site would have TG clips?

Either that or because of high traffic Google is moving the videos to the PAY section (or negotiating to do so). I wouldn't put it past the bloody bastards (in my best jeremy clarkson voice), got to keep that stock price up!

While we're at it, a retired fellow whose NSX I looked at last year and who liked BBC Top Gears was not at all familiar with streetfire. I sent him an email of links that I think he enjoyed a lot. I dug up the sent email, maybe some of you will enjoy them too. I haven't watched many of these in a while so it's time to rewatch some on the next rainy day. At least one link (The Duel) was shortened from the full length to just the trailer, but hopefully most of the rest are still active & full length. For those not aware - the Top Gear links here are of the BBC originals and not the watered down ones shown on BBC America. So a lot of the British humor and friendly american/german bashing is left on the videos.

I work with a younger guy who got busted as part of the MPAA / music industry crackdowns when he was in college. He was so shellshocked by whatever happened, he refuses to discuss details. At any rate - proceed with caution there, young man.

So what's the difference between bitorreting and streaming? None.
It's not right but it's not serious. Sure profits are lost somewhere but it's bound to happen regardless. If you don't like it don't do it. Simple as that.
