I'm not going to say if it achieved Top Gears goal but I will say that it makes the Enzo look like a Vega. Oh my gawd.

Heikki Kovalainen (the Renault F1 test driver) admitted to driving the Renault R24 F1 car around the track in the 2004 series, clothed as the Stig.

In most of the vintage events, where all of the open wheeler big boys run together, the Champcars are still faster than a F1 car, but the F1 cars have a better sound, (my favorite sounding engine is the NA Judd V10 powered ones).
I run about a 2:39 @ Road America (4.1 mile track) and a Champcar does it in 1:39, a full minute faster per lap!

As far as anyone knows, Juan Montoya was the ONLY driver to go flat out without lifting through the infamous kink.
