I was watching Top gear it was a rerun and they were reviewing the Corvette C6 They really didn't have much nice to say about the C6(I personally like them), but in the review they race the C6 against a TVR, Porsche 911, NSX. and the NSX beat the Vette, was a little suprised.
here's the youtube video think the race is about 3:00 mark...

you can never trust top gear drag races. They had another video where the F40 dragged the Porsche 959, and the F40 outlaunched the AWD porche but the porsche pulled on the F40 on the top end  In real life the 959 would've outlaunched the F40 but the F40 would've pulled on the 959 like a freight train once it gained traction.

959

0-60 3.7 seconds

1/4 mile time 11.8 @ 119 mph

F40

1/4 mile time 11.7 @ 127 mph!!!!

thats going faster by 8 mph!!! that is like pulling 2 buses on the porsche by the end of the 1/4 mile if they were to race from 60-127 mph

I believe Hammond was driving the F40 that time and he missed a couple gears in the F40. Not to mention both of those cars ended up failing before the track shootout with the Stig behind the wheel. (Turbo failure) So who's to say there horsepower wasn't down to begin with?

The drag races are for fun. In reality a stock nsx is a good 6-8mph slower in the 1/4 mile and probably .5 slower.

Pulls on me by A LOT on the straights.
