Toll both violation mix up

I just received a notice of a toll both violation on the B line expressway. The picture on the citation is clearly not my vehicle, and using a magnifying glass the last digit of the tag is not the same. We called about that, but got nowhere with the persons we talked with. They both said that the picture they pulled up on their screen, clearly had the temp plate number that had been issued to me 3 weeks before. Although their vehicle description from same picture was not my vehicle, they didn't offer any way of filing a grievance or any thing so we paid the $3.50 citation.
Has anyone had this happen to them? Do they use some kind of digital photo enhancement software that could account for the mix up? Howard

Interesting, I had someone else's vehicle trigger a $1 toll a few months back, Photo was clearly not of my vehicle. Couldn't be bothered to fix it. Last digit was not clear.

Somewhat related to this story, here is what one couple went through to try to have a red light camera ticket reversed on a vehicle that wasn't even theirs.

Earlier this month a judge dismissed the charges but asked if they would like the charge taken off their record for $200. They declined the offer.
