Can any Acura dealer cut these keys? I have a blank which was given to me by Lee (great guy) from Cybernation. The last time I had a regular blank cut by Acura they messed it up and it barely works.

Yes Rob, any Acura dealer can cut the 'titanium' key with no problem. And as far as titanium being very hard, it is........ but the key we are all talking about is NOT made out of titanium so that's kind of a stray comment.
It is nickel. Also hard, but not as if it were titanium.
The key is not what almost broke his machine. It was probably a dull cutting wheel or he didn't have the clamp tight enough on the blank. As per the FAQ it's made of nickel and copper. This is why it feels so heavy. If it were truly made out of titanium it would feel as though it were made out of aluminum because it would be so light..

Nope. It would feel as if it were made of .... er .... um .... titanium! Ti is much lighter than aluminum. I have some Ti bolts and they feel as if they are made of air. Wait a minute ....

No, it isn't. Aluminum weighs 2.6989 g/cc and titanium weighs 4.5 g/cc.
Maybe he meant titanium gas.

so the key does not come standard with the vehicle correct? comes as an option to the buyer? thanks guys! very informative
Ermmm... I think the Ti key come standard with earlier models and not avaliable in latter models cause of the implanted chip thingy...
