Stock size/type tires and wheels vs 17/18 on a 1995 NSX. Not sure what is best. When my NSX arrives I wanted to change the tires/wheels to a 17/18 setup. MY car has acura chrome alloy wheels like on the 2000 NSX currently. Now I am having second thoughts after reading the FAQ on tires/wheels.

Why second thoughts? A 17/18 combo works just fine. The tire sizes you want are 215/40-17 in front and 275/35-18 or 265/35-18 in the rear. There will be no TCS issues since the differential in tire diameters is well within the 5% tolerance required by the TCS.

Give Ben at Wheels Boutique a call at 866-519-4335 Ext 2101 and tell him Hugh sent you and askk him to go over the choices available to you.

Don't be talked into a 18/19 combo because these will adversely affect handling since you will be left with very little sidewall to work with. The lesser sidewall will also transmit road shock to the wheel more than a 17/18 combo will and that will increase your chances of damaging the rims.

I have my 17/18 combo, 215 in front and 255 in rear and they work great never have any problem with handling. I'm sure your NSX will look good on 17/18 combo.
