One of my fellow instructors had this and it worked great. Displays tire pressure or temp and you can set a low/high warning where it will turn red for either temp/psi. Went for a ride on the track and worked well. Still need a pyrometer for testing, but this was a cool toy for $140.

Installing next time I add new tires.

Good idea!

I have been thinking of adding a TPSM on my wheels too ........ this offers heat sensitive which is a plus. What are the measurements of the monitor? Is it secured with brackets, tape? Does it fit the area of the ashtray?

The display is about the size and depth of a iPhone. I have seen it and played with it, but haven't bought one for myself yet.

No mounting provisions as far as I know, so it would have to be a DIY mount. Take a look at this pic of the mount I used for the iphone, I think something similar would work great.

I have one of these and the thing I hate about it is once it starts alarming you can't mute it. Even if you're driving straight to someplace to fill it, it's really annoying. So of course I unplugged it and it never got plugged back in. If I'd have hardwired this, I'd have gone crazy by now. Anyone know if they've changed this? I've never gotten around to calling the company.

I have this installed in my NSX. Haven't set any alarms, so I haven't encountered the problem of not being able to silence it.

Measurements would be appreciated; seems like it might fit the ashtray. Also, does it have an option to change the color of the light?

The pdf manual doesn't seem to offer such details!
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/A1vLyMEO5eS.pdf

It's approximately 2.75" x 1.75" x 0.25-0.5" (last measurement is from memory since mine is back mounted in my console.).

There isn't an option to change the color (I wish there was). I tried using film normally used in lighting, but no matter what combination I tried, I couldn't get it to change to amber.

Haha ...... it will fit in the ashtray socket!

Can't you turn it off once it starts beeping nonstop? You would think they would have a timed beep and then it stays on red alert!

You would think. I just got annoyed and stopped using it. :frown:

According to the manual, the alarm will continue to sound until the problem is rectified. You can, however, go in and simply change the alarm trigger value to shut it up. I do agree that they should have a silencing function.

Looks like they have new model about to hit the streets here in the US. Jegs has it priced at $299.

I've been thinking of getting something like these since I saw them on Tirerack's web site. Now that I'm about to get new wheels, this is the time to do it. My question is does anyone know if they will fit CE28N Volk wheels?
Thanks; Howard
