That is just old lady Karma.... doesn't like ugly ass black wheels on yellow Lamborginis. On the bright side, at least Audi figured out how to quit making cars that jump out of park on their own.

So Gallardo's are turning into fireballs as well as Murcielago's.

Not good.

Well the Gallardo is just another Italian POS...

Note to self; Don't paint the NSX yellow.

And for already yellow NSX owners...Sorry:biggrin:
i laughed so hard when i read this post that i damned near spit out my coffee!

wow, these cars are smokin'.

The last week I have honestly seen pictures of one burning Murcielago, one burning silver F430 and now this.

Crazy!

I am guessing that these are not cars that burned down after a wreck. Any idea what is causing the meltdown?

first the Hindenburg, then Pintos, then Fieros , now this. oh the humanity
Hey now, Pintos had to be hit in the rear before bursting into flames, and it was a quick filler neck replacement to solve the problem all together. These Lambos appear to be bursting into flames for no good reason, and with no quick fix solution.

I agree completely.
There was another thread somewhere here were someone made the remark that the current crop of Lamborghinis are for some reason prone to catch fire. I remember of one German NSX in the early nineties which went up in flames but never heard of another one.

Is there any truth in this or is it just because these Lambos are more the center of attention than others cars. If I had a Lambo as just my weekend driver (and had than kind of money to spare) I could probably live with limited reliability. But your car catching fire for no reason sounds to me like some serious hidden design flaws.

If you like over-complicated crap that breaks down a lot and is ridiculously expensive to fix it is. :)

Over engineered generally means that it will never fail or that it exceeds the "Fit for purpose" design parameters, usually at the detriment to cost or weight.

I don't think these self propelled crematories are the fault of Lamborghini's German owners. Audi probably had no say in the engineering or design other than bringing some much needed $$$ to Lamborghini, otherwise this would not happen! German engineering is second to none!

This would NEVER happen to a Porsche!

Un-ban Allan, I say! A hot, fair and ballanced thread would be interesting.

Honestly now Lambos are fare more German than Italian... I do not see all this italian car bashing idea when speaking about a car coming from the Audi/VW group. They are built in Italy but so many vcars are built everywhere, the R&D is done by someone else.

It would be like complaining to USA/GM for problems appearing on some crappy Opel Vectra.

Am I wrong?

To me the failure lies ALL in VW hands... they started the Gallardo project, they did everything. Lambo is only the name they bought to put on it and maybe they took some clue in the exotic, exterior, design...

Ops, I notice now your location: has this still to do with FIFA WC 2006??? ;) :D

lol... No no gheba... I don't harbour and resentment just because their football team are more actors than they are football players with absolutely no right to even be in the final let alone win it!

That's not a penalty! THIS is a penalty... Cheating b*astards

And their cars suck as well...
