I didn't like how the back shiny plastic trim pieces on the interior looked like after the previous owners used all sort of chemicals on them. I tried all kinds of cleaners to get it to look matte black, but none worked. People say 303 leaves a matte finish. It looks too shiny and slick for me.

I then tried Mr Clean Magic Eraser.

What a difference! All the plastic bits, looked completely matte, fresh and looking just like new! It's been over a year since I did this and they still look great. I used it on the dash and doors (they're covered with vinyl) and it helps too, but not as much. You can use it on leather, but be super careful. If done too hard it will rub the dye right off and your screwed.

Interesting. Those are like mildly abrasive pads I thought. Would have guessed it would scratch it up. Maybe at the micro level it did but at the macro it looks great (which is really all that matters).

I assume light pressure only?

Did you disassemble or clean in place?

Those erasers work wonders on many things. They do miracles to whiten running shoes that are stained and worn out

they do work wonders on a ton of things

thought I didnt like rubbing one on my teeth it kinda hurt.
LOL

I assume light pressure only? - only only on the vinyl and leather. You can go nuts on the plastic

Did you disassemble or clean in place? - clean in place

any pics?
- Nope, since it was done a year ago. Spend a few dollars on it and post up your results so everyone can see.

I use Lemon Pledge (not kidding) on all plastic bits and even the tires on all our cars.
It's a semi-matte finish that doesn't attract dust, it's super inexpensive and of course Lemony-fresh.
I hear you can even use it on furniture

Try it before doubting it and get back to me!
