Tint shop in So Cal

Tan,

how many windows did you get tinted? Do people usually tint the small straight glass that's right behind the cabin?

I was thinking limo for the rear hatch glass, but if i also tint the small glass, i am worry that i will be looking through 2 limo glasses,

any input would be appreciated

Hey David, saw you at the Palos Verdes event but didn't get a chance to say hello. Maybe next time! Anyway, I don't think anyone ever tints the glass behind the cabin. For exactly the reasons you stated. It would be too restrictive on your view. Then again, if you were really into showing your engine off, I suppose you could try tinting the window behind the cabin and leaving the outer glass untinted. I don't think anyone's ever done that. =) It would look kinda weird though IMO.

I did not tint the small window behind my headrest. Just limo tint the engine area glass canopy and the two side windows very low tint.

Darkcyd,
I didn't see you at all, must be looking at the nsx's too hard

actually someone did tint the car the way you describe, I think it looks cool, however, I am not the showing off type, so I will probably go with the traditional route. Thanks for your suggestion.

tan,
the girl that answered the phone sounded cute from the shop, she asked if she can have my car when i told her I want the nsx to be tinted. I promised her a ride, but not the pink slip

Since most of you guys where at the PV event. Did you notice my yellow NSX tint? Most poeple miss the fact that I had ALL the windows tinted(divider excluded). The tint on the windows is the lightest and if memory serves me well, 20% was the number. The windsheild was included and no one ever even notices. During the day, it is like putting on some light sunglasses. At night, Zenon and aftermarket bulbs aren't a bother. Sounds crazy, but you have to see it and drive for awhile in the car to appreciate the reduction in glare. After I had one of my cars done this way, ALL of them went to the tinter. No flames please! And yes, I know it is illegal, just like tinted the side windows is.

I did notice your front seems not as 'clear' as others, but wasn't sure if it's tinted. It looks really nice. I would tint my front windshield too if I can with the lightest possible color, I am concern about heat and glare rather than visibility from others. Do you recommend any shops that can do the front?

wadasan,

do you have any experience with audio issues at autosound specialist? I talked to greg about my center speaker that went out, he sounded experienced with NSX, but I wanted to check with you before I take the car over.

or anyone had experiences with a local audio shop that rebuild stock amps and speakers, please speak up.

thanks

Silver-
I had problems with my center and driver side speaker. Autosound figured out my amps weren't working. $125 an amp and everything worked again. It took about 7 working days.

cheers

I'm also looking for a place on the Westside to do a good tint job on the rear window. I saw a Ferrari Maranello with metallized silver(mirrored) tint that looked awesome. You could just make out there was someone in the car so it wasn't completely mirrored.

Anyone see this at their local tint place?
