Timing Belt replacement

I have a 1994 that just turned 50K miles. I had heard that just any old Acura dealer was not the best place to do a timing belt job. I live in Temecula, Riverside County, California (So. Calif) but I'm willing to travel. Can you shed any light on this subject and recommend a shop/dealer to do this work? I do not have the time to do the job myself. Thank you.

Without a doubt, the best NSX place in SoCal is Autowave in Huntington Beach. Shane and Ron are the best, my NSX is there right now having LOTS of work done, including the timing belt/water pump. (714) 841-2433.

Good Luck !

Thanks for the input...I'm going down to Autowave tomorrow and check it out. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. I am new to this web site and I didn’t know there was so much discussion about timing belts, until I really looked through all the threads on the subject. Some great info there. This is a great web site. Thanks again.

Glad you're going to use Autowave, Dennis. I'm actually going down there tomorrow myself to check on my car. Maybe I'll see you there.
They're putting in the following stuff on my car :
Comptech Sports suspension
Comptech Adjustable sway bars
Comptech Headers
Taitec GT Exhaust
Stainless brake lines, Hawk Street/race pads, Brembo slotted rotors
Cantrell AIS
Timing Belt/water pump, cam plugs, etc.
60K Service
RPS Clutch and Lightweight Flywheel
Miscellaneous general maintenance stuff

Don't I have a nice wife?

Oh yeah, I'd tell you exactly how much, but then . . . . what it's really costing and what my wife THINKS it's costing might, just might, be a little different ! But then, it's either the NSX or my kid's college education, and what would I get out of that?

How about in San Francisco Bay area? I need to do timming belt and water pump soon. Let suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Another plug for Shane and Autowave. Great guys who do great work at reasonable prices.

Another holla out to the good guys at Autowave. Extremly knowlegable, and always accomodating. My NSX (when I was in SoCal) was a daily driver. They did my RPS clutch and Segmented flywheel install as well as a 60k service same day. Mark worked hard and late (7pm) to get it all done for me. Really miss those guys.
