Timing belt question.

December will be time {not mileage:frown:} for the TB service. I'm curious about parts not normally changed.
Since all my goo has dripped from my camshaft sensor I'll likely change it due to age. In the pic below, is the belt tensioner an actual pulley assm as it does'nt resemble one. I'd like to change it too if questionable.

What year is your NSX? No harm in changing the sensor as preventative maintenance - its a lot easier to do while things are apart!. I think the "goo" years for the sensor were the first few years. They used the right potting compound in subsequent years.

I did the timing belt on my '96 in 2007 & no sign's of goo leakage. But later that year I also did a timing belt with/for the owner of a '91. His sensor had drooled the goo, but was working fine. He since has added a turbo and as far as I know, hasn't changed out the sensor.

Care to comment on that Steve?
