Time capsule 1995 JH4NA1185ST000640 on eBay

Its nice, but I think you could do better for the $42K BIN price.

I don't know if you could do "better" but you could certainly buy "newer".

Agreed, I wasn't feeling that price either.

We'll know shortly how much it is worth, though.

I was merely pleased to see that a nice NSX- for someone unconcerned about the NA1 / NA2 distinctions- could realize their dream of owning a "new" NSX. 20K miles is to me damned near new since I've always bought depreciated.

From the title I was thinking it had 300 miles or less on it. There are plenty of 20k mile NSXs out there. It does look like a nice car though.

"...plenty..."
In the marketplace listed and available since the beginning of the year there are 2. One is an auto.
Now you are right, there are several listed on Cars.Com. If you don't mind buying one from a Nigerian using PayPal Safe Harbor. BTW, the dealer listed it at $39.9K on Cars.com.
Like Neal said in another thread, "I got no dog in this hunt". This one is still technically in it's teens and presents well. Again, I'm merely pleased that there are cars like these out there for guys (or gals, Kyra) to fulfill their dreams of owning a (nearly) new, unmolested NSX.

There are plenty of extreme low mileage cars out there perfectly preseved.
Because the NSX has always been a rare car and will become more rare as time goes on, people like to go out of there way to care for these cars.
hey, I have a perfect '91 with 35,000 miles!

+1, I too believe there are a lot of low mileage cars out there but those people are not selling everyday. Those are the people that do not need to sell to buy. My only point was when I think Time Capsule I do not think 20k miles.

Re: Well-preserved 1995 JH4NA1185ST000640 on eBay

My bad on the thread title, I guess I grade easy.
I did notice though in my cars.com research that there seem to be a higher ratio of low-mileage automatics to manuals than with higher mileage examples. Or am I mistaken?

Like you guys are saying - there may be a lot of low milers out there but they aren't for sale. When they do come up - they sell quickly. I think low miles would be any car at 20k for the NA1s. Mine is a 91 with 45k miles and that I believe isn't exceptionaly low but it's pretty low or a 19 year old car. I would have liked to have held out for a low miler but there hasn't been a low mile 91 - 93 with 20k miles on it since the one I missed in May of last year - so they ain't growin on trees. Well I take that back there was a 93 when I was looking that had 15k miles on it - perfect - except that it had had no maintenance and the guy wanted 40k for it. Ummmmmm - NO. No thank you.....

I'm all for preserving these cars and keeping them nice but I'm not saving it for anyone. I don't think there are many out there saving them for anyone else - but there are a few. Some are actually saving them to just have one with super low miles! Not many of those either - but more than I probably think. Just look at the low milers in total - NA1s and NA2s - we've seen since April of last year - what maybe 10? How many 91 - 93s - maybe 3?

Like I said - they aren't growing on trees - you can find plenty of 60/70+k mile cars out there. Not the real low milers though. Why would you- if you had one would you sell it? Right - didtn't think so.

That's all I have on that.

Low miles are great if you have the money to burn while the cars rots away in a garage, putting miles on your NSX should be FUN,

Some would say " well its gonna be worth a MILLION DOLLARS one day"

Yeah maybe when we all fly in our personal Hovercar with an atomic Powerplant.

But You can put a price on anything the trick is finding some sucker to buy it for your price.

I Will sell My Mint 1992 NSX Blk/Blk with 118,000 miles for 1 Million Dollars right now any takers? I will even drive it to you, and when I get there I will wash and wax it, change the oil/filter full interior cleaning to. let me know

one thing people should be aware of,even in a low mileage car, there can still be a fair amount of maintenance to do.i bought mine with 30k miles from an honest guy who had maintained the car,but it still needed a
clutch (it was slipped a lot i guess)
head unit sent out to fix volume knob noise
trunk weatherstripping and struts
battery
removal of annoying aftermarket alarm which was killing new battery
repair for rattling roof(still in progress, hope don't need a crazy expensive roof gasket)
some of this stuff is small, but it adds up

will need tb/wp next year from time, not mileage, needs engine struts.
so be ready.but it sure is fun,i'm so glad i did it.

At the rate I'm driving mine it should be a low miler in a few years. Hey Shawn, should we start a million dollar club - I'd like to sell mine for a million too.

Robbie, you're right about low milers needing things - strange that yours needed a clutch. Man that clutch thing is strange - mine has had 3 clutches and I have 45k miles - go figure - lots of nerds out there that don't know how to drive or install one. This last clutch wasn't needed cause it was worn out - it was needed cause it was installed wrong with the wrong grease and it was tough to work - so I thought it was gone - it wasn't actually. But as with so many things by the time we figured it out - well we were "in there" - so go ahead, right!

That was my point on that silver 93 with 15k miles that had had no maintenance and needed a ton of stuff not to mention the stupid sales price that the "dealer" (once again another stupid dealer) wouldn't budge. Gotta pass on those just on GP if nothing else just so you don't become the dealers "boy"! I'll not do that! Not worth it - period - to me that is.

So low milers do have thier issues as well - right you are. They're not perfect necessarily because they're low milers!

My 91 has a few more miles on it, so I will let her go for $500K
