Hello-just started with my daily driver(96 MazdaProtege w/ 85,000miles) heard some loud ticking at startup, checked the oil , needed 1 full quart. Still ticking, so I changed the oil, still ticking the most during startup. Oil is 10-30 Syntec Blend.
Havent tried one of those oil additives, but also wondering how bad this can be if I keep running the car, because it still runs fine, just noisy..?
