Track fanatics .........
Just received confirmation that the NSXCA Sacramento Chapter has been approved to take Tuesday, April 23 as a track day at Thunderhill. This, thanks to Jim Grinstead who offered the BMWCCA GGCh reserved date to us.
So please calendar this date as the track dates have been pretty much all gone for the rest of the year and we were lucky to be able to get this one. We have also secured Tuesday, September 3 (the day after Labor Day) as our annual Niello Acura sponsored exclusive track event. By the way, Niello supports all our track events!
We are exploring using a slightly different format this time around without compromising safety which is our absolute top priority. We will be testing the idea at Laguna Seca with the S2000 this coming Monday. Basically, it will be the format used at NSXPO 2001 (three run groups with beginners and novice having mandatory instructors, intermediate would be discretionary based on prior track events and our data base ..... yes big brother is watching; and an advanced group to run on their own unless there is an instructor free to go along).
And for those who want to run at Sears Point (perhaps at NSXPO 2003 hint hint .... <vbg>), building seat time and confidence would be like having money in the bank .... so make use of such track opportunities.
More details to follow ...........
Cheers,
