Dear Moderator,
I created a thread in which I found a Car
on e-bay that looked and smelled like a scam. I was in error.
I sent the Seller of the car an e-mail thru e-bay telling him I am sorry.
And Have Publicly appoligized for this thread. and I request this thread be
deleted thank-you for your time. this will not happen again.
as there have been a lot of scams for these types of cars. I was still caught
up in the thrill of calling the scammer out.
here is the thread in question

http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138990

thank-you

Hi Shawn, you obviously bring a lot of passion to the community and I know your intentions are good. As others have said in that thread, sometimes in an online forum when you have partial information it is better to investigate further before making assumptions or coming to a conclusion (as you noted!)

That being said, I think it's actually better to leave the thread alone. A search for the VIN shows that thread as the top result. So if someone googles that VIN, they would see a thread titled "Scam or not you decide" as the top search result. As it stands they can click through to read the thread and learn that it appears to be legitimate. But there is no cached version available yet. So If I delete the thread all they'll know is that there was discussion about it being a scam.
