Thoughts on Ethanol-blended gas for NSX?

Anyone having any experience using Ethanol blended gas in the NSX? I searched the FAQ (no hits) and the forums (9 'hits' but only about 3 contained the word 'Ethanol' .. don't know what's up with that).

Anyway, I was gassing up another vehicle the other day at a Canadian station offering some small amount of Ethanol blended with the gas and their slogan on the pump was '90 octane for the price of regular' (which I think is 87 octane). They also had one that suggested 93 octane for the price of normal premium.

I think it's supposed to burn cleaner but has anyone read about any adverse impacts on engine parts? Not as many stations sell it, which is a bit of a hassle, but I would think it would benefit the guys running boost (less knocking).

Many parts of the United States, including most major metropolitan areas, sell only gasoline containing up to 10 percent ethanol. I have not heard of any adverse effects.

BTW, in most of the United States (basically everywhere except California and high-altitude areas), 93 octane IS normal premium.

Ethanol burns cleaner, but is more prone to vapor lock I beleive, not a worry for most people.

California is stuck with 91 octane.

If your looking for High Octane (~100 octane) at a savings from the pump/barrel, you can blend Toulene/Xylene with normal gas to safely raise the octane level.

Tks for the comments. Sounds like no bad news is good news in this case. Around here, I'm pretty sure 'premium' is 91 not 93. I put some in since my original post and haven't really noticed any difference but I haven't been pushing it and don't have FI

By "normal", I was referring to what is sold as premium throughout most of the United States.

BTW, the NSX owner's manual specifies fuel of 91 octane or higher for the NSX. It also says that if you use lower than 91, it shouldn't harm the car, but it will reduce performance.
