Did you guys replace your entire steering wheel/airbag assembly with the Japanese Honda one or is it possible to keep the existing steering wheel on the car and simply swap airbag assemblies?

Thanks..........

Hugh

you mean the JDM airbag in an otherwise stock steering wheel?

if so: just R&R it...takes a few minutes.

It is so easy I epoxied up the top of the torx screw holes so it can't easily be stolen. It will take the bad guy many minutes with a pick to get it all out before he can use a screwdriver to get it out.

The JDM setup also has kanji script on the cruise control buttons. Make sure you get them too.

You need one of these (attached) if you want to keep your JDM crown.

The wheel I got from Dali also had the Kanji. I decided to simply swap airbag assemblies for the time being. Much quicker than swapping the whole steering wheel, took about 20 minutes.

I'm thinking it might be cool to take the original airbag assembly outside and put a plate over it. Then sprinkle some catnip on the plate, wait for a visitor and trigger the airbag.

Just kidding, I love pussies!
