Yesterday I drove 2 different NSXs out here in Colorado. These were my first times in an NSX, and now I know what all the hollering is about! However a question.
Both cars, one a ratty '91 and the other a beautiful (looking) '93 had weak or non-existent 3rd gear syncronizers. I could not lazily shift from 2nd to 3rd without a serious crunch. Shifting quickly or double clutching or speed matching engine/gearbox was ok, but quiely driving thourgh residential neighborhoods was not.
Is this typical NSX 5-speed behavior, or did I get two bad examples? The '91 had 74,000 +/- on the odometer, but felt ( and looked) like 174,000, and I will not pursue that car, but the '93 only had 61K.
Any insight greatly appreciated![Confused  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
I would also appreciate talking with any local (Denver/Boulder) owners about my NSX search. TIA
